NFL Round Five Action: Jets vs Cowboys and More Matchups
Live NFL Action
Welcome, NFL supporters! Welcome to the fifth week of the NFL action, as I deliver live coverage from the early games. It's a nice late morning affair on the Pacific coast at 10am (PST), stretching to an late afternoon 6pm (BST) in England. Recently, the Minnesota Vikings fought back to beat the Cleveland Browns by four points due to a 12-yard Jordan Addison TD reception with under half a minute left at the London venue. The Vikings improve to 3-2, while Cleveland fall to 1-4. The Sunday schedule is in full swing.
Today features a solid lineup of six contests to cover:
Ravens v Houston Texans
Panthers against Miami Dolphins
Indianapolis Colts vs Las Vegas Raiders
Saints vs Giants
Jets v Dallas Cowboys
Eagles v Denver Broncos
Featured Matchup: Philadelphia Host Broncos
A highlight contest is taking place in Philly with the unbeaten title holders receiving a visit from the Broncos. On paper, you might anticipate an easy win, but a brief look pops up headlines doubting whether the Eagles are the least impressive undefeated squad ever. It's unclear. However, is they have benefited from some fortune on kick units with multiple blocked attempts, one of which earned a win against the Los Angeles Rams. A crucial factor will be how Denver defensive coordinator Vance Joseph prepares his linebackers to stop Philadelphia’s dual threat quarterback Hurts from marauding down the field. If they can force the pass, then a statement win might follow for the Broncos, currently with two wins and two losses, which would make many analysts, including me, that predicted the Denver would finally depose the Chiefs in the division feeling a little happier.
Other Matchups to Follow
In other games, a number of teams with single victories are eager to move nearer to .500 with a W, or exactly there in the case of the Dallas Cowboys after their madcap high-scoring draw with the Packers has them at 1-2-1. A trip to the Meadowlands to face the yet to win New York Jets should do the trick as they aim to keep the offensive fireworks going between QB Prescott and receiver George Pickens. Ultimately, star pass catcher Lamb's injury might benefit the Dallas as his increased role recently will have sped up his progression, creating the attack more powerful when he does return. Currently, the Jets’ defense needs to be alert and then some to avoid a disappointing fall to 0-5.
Ravens Face Houston in Surprising Clash
Two of surprising 1-3 merchants meet in Maryland as the banged-up Baltimore Ravens are guided into battle with the Texans by reserve QB Cooper Rush. In this fixture last season, we saw Beyoncé’s amazing performance surrounded by Houston enduring a horrendous 31-2 loss at home on Christmas Day, followed by a 34-10 beating in the postseason a month later at their venue. But, without the injured two-time MVP Jackson on the field, who threw multiple scores, ran in additional TDs, and racked up massive yardage in the previous games, the Texans' unit will be prepared.
