Aircraft Spirals Wildly into Palm Groves at Well-Known Southern California Beach
An aircraft soaring over a crowded southern California coastline abruptly started spinning out of control, eventually descending rapidly and plunging into a row of palm trees as onlookers looked on.
Videos uploaded online show the aircraft commencing to spiral near the shoreline then plunging towards the perimeter of the beach, where it ends up lodged among palm trees and a staircase near the coastal road.
Emergency Response Information
The Huntington Beach fire department reported five individuals were taken to hospital comprising two who were in the helicopter and were “rescued from the debris” following the incident on Saturday.
Three individuals on the street were hurt. Specifics on their condition were not yet released.
The cause of the crash was not immediately released.

The department indicated the aircraft was associated with an regular “Cars with Copters” benefit occasion planned for the next day.
